The Judges Bill Seminar seminar commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Judges Bill, which gave the Supreme Court discretion to control most of its docket. We will explore how discretionary jurisdiction has shaped the Supreme Court’s present role in the constitutional order. The course will feature several esteemed visitors to present recent work about how the Supreme Court's powers of agenda control have shaped the Court and the constitutional life of the nation. The seminar sessions will be moderated by Professor Thomas Schmid
